Les Docks, Cité de la mode et du design
Conçu par les architectes JAKOB+MACFARLANE, le projet remet en valeur le bâtiment industriel de Georges Morin-Goustiaux et tire son inspiration des différents flux du site : la Seine et les promenades sur les berges du fleuve.
La structure en béton conservée est recouverte d’une nouvelle peau facettée en acier et verre sérigraphié, appelée « Plug-Over » [2] en surplomb de la Seine. La volumétrie du « Plug-Over »se déploie en arborescence à partir de la trame existante.

Conceptualized by architects JAKOB+MACFARLANE, the project gives a new life to the industrial structure of Georges Morin-Goustiaux. Its essence is inspiration from the many different flux on the site : the Seine and the walking on the docks.
The concrete structure has been covered by a new « Plug-Over » [3] diamond shaped glass exterior. The « Plug-Over » works in arborescence around the new building.
